I mean how many seniors do you know who record their own music and manage their own bee hives? That's what I thought. With talents and interests that shine so brightly, the thing I love most about Laura Lee is that ultimately what shines brightest is her heart for her family and her friends. I'm blessed to know this joyful, caring, wonderful original.

Laura Lee got a Where the Wild Things Are costume for Halloween and you better believe we went to the woods and took pictures with it! Love her!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, www!

I hope that as you're reading this you've just enjoyed a ridiculous amount of turkey and cranberry sauce. Before you fade into a tryptophan coma, since it is a week of thankfulness and you're likely spending it with your family...I thought you'd like to check out a family I'm very thankful for...the McDaniel family.

This family is so much more than adorable! Any time I spend with the McDaniels I laugh a lot. Melody is such a joyful kiddo. Her toothless smile, endless expressions and beautiful eyes make her one of the sweetest infants I know.

Our afternoon out by the lake was laid-back and relaxing...a lot like the McDaniels. I've been looking forward to shooting this incredible little family for a long time, so I hope you enjoy some snapshots from their session. Let them know in the comments just how cute their little pumpkin is.

We spent a gorgeous afternoon celebrating sweet Stella turning one! Her mom poured so much love into the day, handmaking decor and party favors and ensuring that there was something to entertain guest of all ages. Everyone had a wonderful time, especially the guest of honor who was surrounded by friends and family and smeared with birthday cake! Happy birthday sweet girl!

For the first time in months there was something sort of wet outside the morning we took this precious family's photos. Though it was likely only dew, it was nice to feel moisture again...refreshing. It seemed appropriate we were photographing these three that morning. This couple is so refreshing. Our time with their little family was like a breath of fresh air for us. 

As if that weren't enough, shooting a two-year-old as ADORABLE as blue eyed Meryl was a delight! This precious tow head could be the face of Gerber Graduates. She's BEAUTIFUL!

I walked away from their session truly feeling like I'd made new best friends. Which is why it's super sad they're moving this month. Dallas is so stinking lucky to get them...and their sweet baby on the way to boot.

The morning we spent with the Henegars was a living testimony that being a grandparent is the greatest job on the planet. These boys adored their grandparents; in the midst of laughing, running, tickling, running, dancing, running, jumping, spinning and running they were always making their way over to give their Lulu a hug or see what fun things their grandpa had come up with to amuse them.

It's plain to see why they are so adored. They take such delight in each and every member of their family and are ever eager to join in on the fun. This family is so full of love.

And boys. And running. :)
