laura lee | austin senior photography

Laura Lee is one of those rare, wonderful people who is absolutely original and true to herself. She is passionate, creative and wonderfully different. I mean how many seniors do you know who record their own music and manage their own bee hives? That's what I thought. With talents and interests that shine so brightly, the thing I love most about Laura Lee is that ultimately what shines brightest is her heart for her family and her friends. I'm blessed to know this joyful, caring, wonderful original.

Laura Lee got a Where the Wild Things Are costume for Halloween and you better believe we went to the woods and took pictures with it! Love her!

danielle | austin senior photography

Danielle is one of those people who is loud with her life. I don't mean audibly loud, though that can certainly be true at times. I mean that she lives life with a passion that screams from within her. Whether through writing or singing or casual conversations, you can't know Danielle without also knowing what she loves. She is honest and caring and full of joy and when someone is loud in those ways, people want to listen.

Danielle also so happens to one of the girls in my small group at church, and that makes me feel blessed. :)

We got the most gorgeous light at the end of the day!

Danielle, you are wonderful! Thanks so much for spending the afternoon with us!

Jazz | Austin Senior Photography

It's pretty impossible to not like Jazz immediately. He's kind, laid back, easy to talk to, and he'll juggle for you if you just ask nicely. Seriously, we got our own private talent show. He also has a wonderfully refreshing sense of confidence. He's an aspiring rapper and when I asked him who his all time favorite rapper was, he replied without a hint of pride "I am" he explained that he was the only person whose goal was to rap exactly the way he liked. Totally endearing. I'm excited to keep tabs on his future, I have no doubt that with all his charisma (and juggling skills!) his future will be impressive.

Laura | Houston Senior Photography

This past weekend while I was in Houston spending time with some dear friends, I got the chance to take a few senior pictures of Laura for an upcoming NCL event. Her big brother is one of our dearest friends and stood alongside Evan in our wedding. When I met up with Laura this weekend, I was quick to notice that she's just like her brother. In fact, I notice the same thing anytime I'm around any of the seven siblings. They're so alike!  Don't get me wrong, they're all very different people, with very different personalities but they share this core quality that makes you instantly feel comfortable and at home around them. They're one of the most genuine, welcoming and loving families I've ever met. Any parents that raise kids like that (especially seven of them) deserve an award!

Oh, and did I mention that Laura happens to be absolutely gorgeous?

sofia | round rock senior photography

Right before we left for Maryland, we got to spend a few quick moments hanging out with the lovely Sofia. We spent about 15-20 minutes getting a few pics for her senior ad and then spent some time just playing around, and by playing around I mean Sofia took some pictures of me laying in a cow field. Random.

This girl is so much fun and so down to earth. It's no surprise she was voted Homecoming Queen a few weeks back. Sofia, you're wonderful and we can't wait to see you again in the Spring!

Garrett's Seniors | Austin Senior Portrait Photographer

Time is the strangest thing to me.

Taking these senior photos only confirmed that tomorrow I'll blink and be 80.

I feel like yesterday I was sitting on the couch with the adorable toddler version of Garrett. Garrett and my brother Ben are the same age, so I watched him grow up. I literally remember the day he started kindergarten, and today he's an adorable high school graduate and I can't believe it.

Garrett wasn't too fired up about senior photos. If it weren't for his grandmother asking for one, he likely would have skipped it all together.

BUT I think you'd agree, he needs to rethink his stance on having photos taken of him. He's too photogenic to avoid the camera forever.

Congratulations, sweet Garrett! Look out, world!

Seth Graham | Austin Senior

It's that time of year. Senior's mouths are watering as they glimpse the end of what feels like an eternity of high school.

When I was finishing high school I remember figuring out what year my baby brother would graduate.  We're eight years apart, so it felt like a lifetime away. Ben would be the Class of 2010 (incidentally he ended up graduating a year early). That seemed totally crazy to me. That year is something that people make futuristic movies about!

Well, here we are, folks. 2010. WHAT!?

When I was asked to take my cousin, Seth's, senior photos I was so excited. Ben and Seth are only eight days apart. I remember when they were born. Though they looked exactly opposite from one another, they were like adorable twins as little guys.

Seth's the middle of the three kids in his family. So I've always felt particularly connected to him for that reason.

This man has the sweetest, tender heart. Though he may not like to admit it - driving around in his big tough jeep...he's a softy - and I love it!

We had so much fun traipsing around Cedar Park looking for great spots to take these shots. Though I'm sure being my model for the day wasn't Seth's idea of fun, he was a great sport. And doesn't he look fabulous?

Seth and his buddies recently picked up a few ducklings and, sure enough, they've managed to make pets out of them.

He actually was on the phone for this one...I just wouldn't leave him alone :)

This one might be my favorite - check out those baby blues.

Did I mention that this guy could make a statue laugh? He's hilarious.

So fun to spend the day with you, Seth-bo! Thanks for being GREAT!
