We spent a gorgeous afternoon celebrating sweet Stella turning one! Her mom poured so much love into the day, handmaking decor and party favors and ensuring that there was something to entertain guest of all ages. Everyone had a wonderful time, especially the guest of honor who was surrounded by friends and family and smeared with birthday cake! Happy birthday sweet girl!

This post is mostly about a very adorable one-year-old. 

Precious Addison had a birthday and I got to celebrate with her on a very special Sunday morning. Addison's sweet expressions, mischievous smiles and pretty remarkable personality make for one very lovable little girl. I've met very few so well behaved toddlers. I imagine with this one, it doesn't hurt that she has an unbelievable family.

Addison's family has been in my life since long before her birth. Getting to see her mama, aunts and Gigi that day I was reminded how incredibly this family loves each other. The Grisham's are the kind of family people watch, learn from and hope to look like. And it's been real fun for me to be a spectator all these years.

So, dear Addison...girl, you are a lucky little thing...and I'm not just talkin' about your killer blue eyes.

You know those model homes you walk through when you're moving into a new neighborhood? They use them to show off the builder/designers skills. Maybe it's because no one actually lives in them, but aren't they inspirational? I can't imagine anyone walking through one of them without feeling inspired to redecorate, paint or at least do some cleaning.

If the equivalent exists for families...the Morellos are it. No for real...every time I look through Becky's latest craft endeavor I'm inspired. Matt's service to our country in the military is a great sacrifice to his adorable girls. But mostly the way this family loves each other is contagious. I want to love my family that way!

As the Morellos played, giggled and (let's be honest) tolerated the heat we captured some great shots that I think depict this inspirational love well.

This is Anna's phone. On their way to our shoot it flew from the top of the car to the side of the road shattering to, well, oblivion. It hit me when I got home and looked through photos of this gorgeous family laughing, snuggling and playing that there were no signs of that phone and its stress in a single picture. It was a wonderful representation of real joy. Despite circumstances and setbacks, they didn't cease to delight in each other and their precious son with each and every moment. It's obvious how blessed they feel to have each other and easy to see why. 

Wall family, you guys are amazing. We had such a great time with y'all and I can't thank you enough for a reminder of real joy in the midst of holiday craziness. You truly blessed us and I'm, crossing my fingers that Santa brings you a new phone this year.  Merry Christmas!
