HAPPY THANKSGIVING, www!

I hope that as you're reading this you've just enjoyed a ridiculous amount of turkey and cranberry sauce. Before you fade into a tryptophan coma, since it is a week of thankfulness and you're likely spending it with your family...I thought you'd like to check out a family I'm very thankful for...the McDaniel family.

This family is so much more than adorable! Any time I spend with the McDaniels I laugh a lot. Melody is such a joyful kiddo. Her toothless smile, endless expressions and beautiful eyes make her one of the sweetest infants I know.

Our afternoon out by the lake was laid-back and relaxing...a lot like the McDaniels. I've been looking forward to shooting this incredible little family for a long time, so I hope you enjoy some snapshots from their session. Let them know in the comments just how cute their little pumpkin is.

This post is mostly about a very adorable one-year-old. 

Precious Addison had a birthday and I got to celebrate with her on a very special Sunday morning. Addison's sweet expressions, mischievous smiles and pretty remarkable personality make for one very lovable little girl. I've met very few so well behaved toddlers. I imagine with this one, it doesn't hurt that she has an unbelievable family.

Addison's family has been in my life since long before her birth. Getting to see her mama, aunts and Gigi that day I was reminded how incredibly this family loves each other. The Grisham's are the kind of family people watch, learn from and hope to look like. And it's been real fun for me to be a spectator all these years.

So, dear Addison...girl, you are a lucky little thing...and I'm not just talkin' about your killer blue eyes.

Before she was born people told me that being an aunt would change me. They said it would be hard for me to imagine that one day I could love my own child anymore than I love her...

I don't think I can. I don't think I will. Surely the love I have for my own children one day will be different, but I don't know if I will love them any more than Maggie Beth.

She's nearly three months old now and everyday she's more  precious to me. How is it possible for such a tiny human to be so powerful. Her grip on my heart is unmatched. I've said often lately that she's my favorite person on the planet. I'm simply crazy about my niece!!

We took these newborn photos when she was only seven days old. Being in my best friend (sister's) home with her growing family was particularly sweet on this day. MB's presence has brought a new excitement to their house. Rachel and Charlie are spectacular parents. I'm so blessed to continue watching them raise up this beautiful little girl together.

God's faithfulness is overwhelming!

As I sit typing this, her monitor flickers on and off every few seconds like clockwork. She has hiccups again. It's a common occurrence. Her little body is so tiny that each hiccup shakes her whole frame. She barely seems to notice and certainly doesn't mind. It's so odd to think that just over a month ago, I didn't even know her. I didn't spend time everyday staring into her eyes, I didn't rock her, I didn't see Evan's face light up when he got home to see her, I didn't brush my hands over her baby soft skin, I didn't take her little feet in my hand in amazement and I didn't have any concept of just how much I would love her. And I still don't think I do. Here is our sweet daughter. We love her more everyday.
