We spent a gorgeous afternoon celebrating sweet Stella turning one! Her mom poured so much love into the day, handmaking decor and party favors and ensuring that there was something to entertain guest of all ages. Everyone had a wonderful time, especially the guest of honor who was surrounded by friends and family and smeared with birthday cake! Happy birthday sweet girl!

The morning we spent with the Henegars was a living testimony that being a grandparent is the greatest job on the planet. These boys adored their grandparents; in the midst of laughing, running, tickling, running, dancing, running, jumping, spinning and running they were always making their way over to give their Lulu a hug or see what fun things their grandpa had come up with to amuse them.

It's plain to see why they are so adored. They take such delight in each and every member of their family and are ever eager to join in on the fun. This family is so full of love.

And boys. And running. :)

You can't help but love the Mitzenmachers from the moment you meet them. They exude this very easy-going sense of joy that makes you feel like you've known them for years. We couldn't get over their precious daughter Stella, who spent the afternoon shifting back and forth from adorable to hilarious and back again. Being a mom, I wanted to know the secret to having such a happy kiddo. They humbly told me it's just how Stella had always been, but as we spent our afternoon by the lake, it was easy to see that, really, she was just a splitting image of her loving, happy parents. I guess that's the secret after all....

You guys are wonderful, we're so excited for your sweet girl to turn one!

I could dedicate an entire blog post to Stella's sweet faces but I'll just go with three: funny, serious and adorable.

This post is mostly about a very adorable one-year-old. 

Precious Addison had a birthday and I got to celebrate with her on a very special Sunday morning. Addison's sweet expressions, mischievous smiles and pretty remarkable personality make for one very lovable little girl. I've met very few so well behaved toddlers. I imagine with this one, it doesn't hurt that she has an unbelievable family.

Addison's family has been in my life since long before her birth. Getting to see her mama, aunts and Gigi that day I was reminded how incredibly this family loves each other. The Grisham's are the kind of family people watch, learn from and hope to look like. And it's been real fun for me to be a spectator all these years.

So, dear Addison...girl, you are a lucky little thing...and I'm not just talkin' about your killer blue eyes.

Little Liam | Austin Children's Photographer

The sweltering Central Texas heat may have tried to take away from a lovely afternoon with this precious boy, but Liam's adorable smile would allow nothing but excitement and laughter during our shoot.

I've prayed for sweet Liam since before he was born and am so so thankful to have watched him grow the last two years. This little family has become very very important to me. Which is why I'm so sad they're moving away. Liam and his mama, Erica, stopped to get some photos with grandma taken just before they start their adventure in a new state.

Liam is all boy, and Erica does an incredible job of keeping up with her little guy. You've not seen a mom parent quite like this one. Watching these two has been a pleasure for me. I can't wait to see what God has in store for their team in the days ahead.
